The Town of Ajax is soliciting Bids from qualified General Contractors for the supply of all labour, equipment, products, fuel and materials necessary to complete the construction of the second Phase of the Audley Recreation Centre.  The site planning for the original ARC included for a second phase to further develop the facility. 

The proposed elements for the Phase Two include the following;

 New Branch Library;
 Community Rooms with a warming kitchen;
 Active living studio with new change rooms;
 Building maintenance area and a facility garbage room;
 New park maintenance building and yard, and access off Taunton road;
 Park enhancements, including a splash pad extension and off leash dog park; and
 Parking lot expansion.

The building is proposed as a single storey with second storey service spaces.  The structure is a steel and concrete block structure with a concrete slab on grade and conventional footings and foundations.  Construction will involve adding onto the existing Audley Recreation Facility which must remain fully operational during construction.  The project will be submitting for LEED certification.

This Pre-Qualification process includes various construction services including, but not limited to, the construction services listed below:

 Civil;
 Architectural;
 Mechanical;
 Electrical; and
 Landscape.

Works to commence on or about Monday, July 03, 2017, with completion by Thursday, February 28, 2019
