The Town of Ajax is soliciting Bids from pre-qualified General Contractors for the supply of all labour, equipment, products, fuel and materials necessary to complete the Building Construction for ARC Phase 2 located at Audley Recreation Centre in the Town of Ajax. Work under this Contract includes but is not limited to a public library, a community hall, a facility garbage room, an active living studio and a renovation of some existing space for new public change rooms. Work in the park includes a parking lot expansion, an off-leash dog park, and a new splash pad area. There will also be two park maintenance buildings: one located at the north-east corner of the site, off Taunton Road, and the second located at a remote site at 440 Monarch Avenue. The supply and install of the Monarch Park maintenance building and site development is part of the Cash Allowance section. It is a 180 m2 (2000 ft2) engineered steel building on a 0.3 hectare site. The scope of work is similar to the ARC Phase 2 maintenance building and compound development.
